Statement
As of February 19, 2026, Maus-Tec LLC has not received any:
- National security letters (NSLs)
- Orders under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)
- Any other classified or sealed requests for user data
- Any gag orders or other restrictions preventing disclosure of data requests
- Any requests to install backdoors in our hardware or software
No Maus-Tec employee, contractor, or officer has been compelled to compromise the security or privacy of our users or systems.
This statement is signed with our PGP key and updated quarterly. If this page is not updated for more than 120 days past the date above, it should no longer be considered current.
Proof of Freshness
The following headlines were current at the time of signing, demonstrating that this canary could not have been pre-dated:

What Is This?
A warrant canary is a regularly published statement confirming that a company has not received certain types of secret government data requests. Many such requests come with legal restrictions that prevent the recipient from disclosing their existence.
While we cannot disclose the receipt of such a request if one were issued, we can choose to stop publishing this statement. The absence of an updated statement may be interpreted at the reader’s discretion.
Scope
This canary covers all operations of Maus-Tec LLC, including but not limited to:
- Hardware sales and customer records
- Maus-Hub accounts and marketplace data
- Maus-Link connection records
- Device registration and firmware update records
- Support communications
- OTA firmware distribution
Transparency
Maus-Tec may receive non-classified legal requests for user data (standard subpoenas, court orders, etc.). These are handled through normal legal channels, and affected users are notified where legally permitted. For information about our data handling practices, see our Privacy Policy.
